Ask Nagaris, the assistant that already knows your firm

Ask Nagaris is the AI assistant built into Nagaris. It already knows your clients, engagements, jobs, timesheets, invoices, emails and documents, so your team can ask in plain English or hand it work, and every change waits for sign-off.

What it does in practice

Ask Nagaris answers questions about what the firm already holds: which jobs are over budget, what a client emailed about last week, what's still unsigned. It answers for one client or the whole firm.

A typical morning looks like this:

  1. Ask. A manager types "what's overdue for the Smith family group" or "firm-wide WIP by partner". The answer comes back in seconds, as text, a table or a chart.
  2. Hand over the work. Ask it to draft a reply to a client email. It writes from the client's file, ready to edit and send.
  3. Approve. Any create, update, delete or email it prepares sits in Approvals until someone on your team signs it off. You can choose to auto-approve particular kinds of change if you want to.
  4. Set it and leave it. Morning briefs, WIP summaries and reminders run on a schedule, or when something happens, such as a new client or a paid invoice.

It also works inside team chat. Type @Ask Nagaris in any client room and it answers with the whole client file, or creates the job, drafts the email or updates the client right in the thread.

Built-in skills for Australian tax work

Ask Nagaris comes with more than 80 built-in skills, tested on real client work at our own firm. They include an FBT Advisor (taxable values, exemptions and the right method), a CGT Advisor (discounts, concessions and the cost base, step by step) and a Division 7A skill (loans, minimum repayments and the benchmark rate). You can also write your own skills to teach it how your firm does things.

Tax answers from any AI tool are a starting point for a qualified accountant's review, not a substitute for it.

Which model sits behind it

You don't pick a model. We test the major AI models on 112 Australian accounting questions, from tax and super to state duty and Fair Work, and route each question to the setup that does best on accuracy, cost and speed together. Fallback models from other AI labs check the work when needed, and when a better model is released, Ask Nagaris switches to it. The results are published in the Nagaris AI Accounting Index.

Who it's for

Partners use it for firm-wide WIP, invoiced and paid figures. Managers use it to list every outstanding task across the team. At BPAG Accountants, 54 people used it nearly 2,000 times in two weeks.

How it connects to the rest of Nagaris

Ask Nagaris is only as useful as what it can see, and in Nagaris everything lands on one client file: emails, calls, texts, meetings, documents and signatures. That's why it can answer questions that span the Services list, firm reports, meeting notes and documents. Tables and charts it builds can be saved to a Reports dashboard. What it costs

Ask Nagaris is charged on usage. New firms start with $1,000 of credit, then pay as you go with a daily limit you set, so there's never a surprise bill. Admins can see usage by person or switch Ask Nagaris off for the firm.

Questions
