Document search for accounting firms that reads every page
Nagaris Documents finds files by what they say, not their file name, so asking for a client's trust deed finds it even when it was saved as scan.pdf. It reads scans, photos, old Word and Excel files and saved emails, and understands terms like ABN, ACN, BAS and SMSF.

Why accounting firm documents are hard to find
A firm's document store builds up over decades. Trust deeds scanned in 2009, a company constitution emailed as an attachment, an old depreciation schedule in Excel. Plenty of it is named scan.pdf or Document1.docx. Search by file name and you get nothing useful.
What Nagaris Documents does
Search the way you think. Ask for Robert's trust deed and Nagaris finds it, even when it was saved as scan.pdf. It searches SharePoint by what the files say.
- Natural language search. Describe the document, not the file name.
- Reads every page. Scans, photos, old Word and Excel files and saved emails.
- Speaks accounting. Knows ABN, ACN, BAS, SMSF and the rest.
- Edit in place. Open and edit Excel workbooks without downloading them.
Who it's for
Firms with years of client files on SharePoint, saved by many people with no single naming rule, where finding a deed or a prior-year schedule takes longer than it should.
Bringing your files across
Optional white-glove onboarding brings across your files, emails and calendars, indexes them so you can search by meaning, sets up your firm and trains your team. It is from $5,000 one-off and includes your first 500GB, then $10 per GB. Ongoing storage for files, emails and calendars is $29 per 100GB a month. The Scale plan includes 1 TB of document storage.
How it fits with the rest of Nagaris
Documents sit on the same client file as emails, calls, meetings and signatures. That means Ask Nagaris can find and use them when answering a question, and a teammate can drop one into the client's room in Client Rooms. Signed copies from e-signatures file themselves beside the original.
Keeping client documents secure
Client files are full of personal information. APP 11 requires an APP entity to take reasonable steps to protect personal information it holds from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure (OAIC, APP quick reference). Nagaris stores client data in Australia on AWS Sydney servers and is ISO 27001 certified.
