Client onboarding that takes minutes, not weeks

Nagaris onboards new accounting clients in one flow: the entity details prefill from the ABR, the client signs and sets up payment, verifies their ID, and completes the rest on their phone, and the jobs land in your team's queue.

The gap between new client and work started

Onboarding in many firms means a proposal per entity, the same data typed several times, and weeks of emails asking for ID, payment details and documents, with sensitive information sent by email along the way. It's common for two or three weeks to pass before anyone starts the actual work.

Nagaris treats onboarding as one flow from the first ABN to the first task assigned.

How it runs

  1. Start from the ABN. Type the ABN and the entity details fill themselves in from the ABR.
  2. One engagement for the group. Every entity goes on one group proposal.
  3. Sign and pay. The client clicks Accept, signs and sets up payment in the same step.
  4. Verify ID. The client verifies their identity through their own bank with ConnectID, or with photo ID and a selfie.
  5. Multiplayer mode. You fill in what you know and the client completes the rest through the guided portal: adding their TFN, uploading documents, connecting their accounting software and linking their ATO portal, each with a step-by-step wizard. TFN Self-Service gives them five ways to find their TFN without calling you.
  6. Work starts. Jobs, services, budgets and tasks are created from the engagement and assigned in your team's queue.

Clients log in without a password, through Xero, Apple, Google, Microsoft or a one-time email link.

Keeping the data clean afterwards

Every night Nagaris checks your records against XPM, CAS 360 and SF360, flags where they disagree and helps you fix it. A duplicate finder merges the same person XPM created once per client.

Who it's for

Firms that onboard whole family groups and want ID and AML checks in the same flow. Most firms are up and running on the same day: connecting XPM takes minutes and existing clients sync automatically. A common rollout is first proposals on day one, a small batch of clients in the first week or two, then renewals and bulk migrations.

How it connects to the rest of Nagaris

Identity checks and risk assessment are part of Nagaris AML/CTF. Payment details captured at signing feed Payments. Created jobs appear in Workflow. For the steps behind a good onboarding process, see the client onboarding guide and the new client checklist. Asking the previous accountant for records? Start from the professional clearance letter template, adapted and reviewed by your firm. Ethical clearance letters are included in every plan.

What it costs

Onboarding is part of every plan, from $495 a month (Launch, up to 500 active clients). Usage items are charged as used: $5 an ID check, company checks from $9, and $1 per signed document. Payment approval can take a little longer depending on your business structure, but it doesn't stop you sending proposals and onboarding clients.
