Why timesheets slip

Many accountants fill in timesheets at the end of the day, or the end of the week, from memory. Short calls and quick emails go unrecorded. WIP looks lower than the work actually done, and jobs look like they came in under budget when they didn't.

What Time Tracker does

Time Tracker drafts each person's day from their desktop, email and calendar. They check it and approve it.

  • Drafted for you. Nothing new to type at the end of the day.
  • Review the day. A clear view of where the time went.
  • Stopwatch. For the work that happens away from the screen.
  • Move time anywhere. Shift time to the right engagement in a click.

The person who did the work stays in control. The draft is a starting point, and nothing is final until they approve it.

A typical day

An accountant spends the morning on a company's year-end workpapers, takes two client calls, answers a handful of emails about a BAS and sits in a planning meeting after lunch. At 5pm, instead of a blank timesheet, they see a drafted day built from their desktop, email and calendar. They move twenty minutes from the wrong engagement to the right one, add a stopwatch entry for a quick discussion at a colleague's desk, and approve. The time is on the right engagements before they go home, not reconstructed on Friday.

Who it's for

Firms that bill on time or track job budgets, and managers who spend time each week chasing timesheets.

How it fits with the rest of Nagaris

Timesheets feed the numbers partners care about. Firm reports show WIP, jobs over budget and fees by partner, team or client. The Services list shows every job and whether it is billed and paid. Ask Nagaris already knows your timesheets, so you can ask which jobs are over budget for one client or the whole firm. Meetings captured by the notetaker sit on the client's timeline, which helps when checking the day.

Price

Time Tracker is part of the Nagaris platform. Plans start at $495 a month for firms of 1 to 5 staff, with unlimited users. See full pricing on the homepage.
